SATIM’s automated analysis pipeline, supplied to Rheinmetall, is now supporting the Bundeswehr’s use of radar satellite data.
Düsseldorf / Kraków, November 2, 2026 —SATIM and Rheinmetall have reached a further milestone in their cooperation supporting Germany’s SPOCK-1 satellite reconnaissance programme. The automated analysis pipeline supplied by SATIM to Rheinmetall has now entered operational testing phase, supporting the German Armed Forces’ analysis of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery.
The milestone follows the Bundeswehr’s receipt of direct access to dedicated SAR reconnaissance satellites operated by Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions. Automated imagery analysis complements this access by turning complex radar data into information supporting situational awareness and operational decision-making.
SATIM supplies the AI analysis technology to Rheinmetall, which operates the system independently in Germany. The cooperation combines Rheinmetall’s operational and integration expertise with the Polish company’s specialist capabilities in automated SAR imagery analysis.
The milestone extends the SPOCK-1 capability beyond data collection by integrating automated analysis and exploitation of SAR imagery, helping transform satellite data into actionable information for military users.
Bringing automated imagery analysis into operation is a further step in delivering the reconnaissance capability our customer requires. The cooperation with SATIM combines specialist AI technology with Rheinmetall’s integration expertise and independent operation of the system in Germany.
The operational pipeline builds on the technology supply agreement announced by Rheinmetall and SATIM in December 2025.
“This milestone brings our cooperation with Rheinmetall into operational use within SPOCK-1,. Our contribution is the AI technology that turns complex radar imagery into useful analytical information, at scale. Working with Rheinmetall enables us to bring that expertise into the capability delivered to the Bundeswehr.” – Jacek Strzelczyk, CEO of SATIM. – Jacek Strzelczyk, CEO of SATIM.
